The Proceeds Continue in True Blood Season 2 Episode 3
Now we are onto the third episode of Season 2 True Blood, the production by Alan Ball for HBO television. Doesnt time fly by! Sookie, strangely enough, is the one to get attacked. This time not by vampires but by a stranger creature with what looks to be a human body with a bulls head. She is infected by some form of poison but is cured by a knowledgeable doctor.
Once Sookie is cured of her ills, she finds out that Lafayette is being held in Eric Northman, Sookies ex boyfriend. She sets off in earnest to find out Lafayettes where-abouts and hopefully to get him released too.
Sookie confronts Eric about this and shows him her irritation (to say the least!) and manages to negotiate with Eric to let Lafayette go free. In return she will help to locate Erics friend ” Godric in addition to getting $10,000 from Eric. Nice deal Sookie! Will Eric keep his promise and leave Lafayette alone?
Is Jason Stackhouse coming to his senses now after his time at the camp from hell? The wacko Sarah however, who is desperate to bed him, convinces stupid Jason that vampires are evil. Not that he needed too much convincing. Sarah invites Jason for dinner at her families place to hopefully brainwash him that bit more, which will not be difficult to do.
Hoyte and Jessica are finally getting it together. Jessica meets up with him in Merlottes and gets all nervous about the occasion but is comfortable with her being a vampire. Jessica takes Hoyte back to Bills house after supper to play wii. Bill returns however and gets mad.
Tara is wondering why Sam Merlotte hates her so much and asks MaryAnn (of all people). Lets hope that Tara does take up on Sookies offer and moves out of MaryAnns house. Can only be for the better, surely!
Meanwhile, Sam is treating Daphne pretty bad and he decides to head on out to go for a swim in the lake. Daphne goes after him and ends up joining him in the lake. Just when shes taking her clothes off to go for a swim we see some scratches on her back. Hang on ” is she the bull/human who attacked Sookie? Is she a maenad?
Its a bit confusing if you have read the books ” quite a big deviation. I suspect if you have read the books and you did enjoy the books then this particular episode of True Blood may not entirely be doing it for you.
But, has to be said that the previews for next weeks show ” episode 4 ” do look good. Perhaps then we are in for a bit of a roller coaster ride. But then being a Charlaine Harris fan, its maybe a bit unfair of me to judge True Blood with any harshness.
