What Do You Need To Be Aware Of When Visiting Dead Sea

We usually like to discover new places for our visit and we are bored with visiting some famous tourist attractions. However, you will find Dead Sea fascinating! You will find it really enjoyable and fantastic. Before you go, you should take note of the following tips.

Dead Sea is a place that you find it hard to swim. For most of your time, you will just simply float on the water without using much force and surely you will enjoy such experience. Everyone can float on water!

Have you shoes on before you try to land on the bottom of the Dead Sea. With its unbelievably high salt content, rough salt crystals usually cover up the bottom of the sea and it can be a pain if you get cut by those. Here is a little tip – dig out your dorkiest shoes from your cabinet and take a picture of them when you are in it, post it on the Internet and share it with your friends!

You may also want to know a few quick facts of Dead Sea. It is not actually a sea despite its name, but a lake. Yet despite being a lake it is made up of approximate 30 percent of salt. Besides, located at 417 feet below sea level it is also the lowest place on earth. The mud of the Dead Sea is actually being employed by the hotels along the sea side for Spa treatments for the visitors around the world.

Wrapping yourself with the Dead Sea mud is a must try item. You will find it amazing when you try to feel how smooth your skin becomes after experiencing the mud-wrapping for 20 minutes in a dark room.

Putting salt in one’s wound do hurts. Cover any of your cuts securely, or better off avoid any kind of activity that may induce cuts prior to the trip to the Dead Sea.

Wear an old swimsuit as the water will discolor your clothing. Thoroughly sash whatever you have put on to get into the Sea, or else a layer of grim will permanently stick to your clothing.

Lastly, keep your visit to the Dead Sea short. There aren’t much going on around this little place, and you may get bored pretty quick as floating is about the only thing that you can do. You may instead choose to walk around and explore the surrounding areas as they offer a lot of outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling.
