Please your loved ones with Valentines Day Pictures

There are many versions on the history of Valentine’s Day. One popular version is that in ancient Roman times, February 14th was a holiday to honor Juno, the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. She was also known by the Roman people as the Goddess of women and of marriage. On the 15th of February was a celebration called the Feast of Lupercalia. In those days, young girls and boys were kept separate in their everyday lives. On the eve of this famous festival, all of the names of the girls were written on small pieces of paper and put into jars. The boys would then take turns and draw names out of the jars, and the girl they drew would become their partners for the festival and sometimes for an entire year at other important events. It is said that these young couples often fell in love and later become husband and wife.

Today Valentine’s Day is marked by couples exchanging gifts of flowers, candy, jewelry and other fine items. Taking pictures for Valentine’s Day is also an important part of the day, with photographers busy snapping photos of couples in love.

So, as you can see, there is more than one theory as to what is the real meaning behind this day set aside to celebrate love. No matter what you may believe as to the origins of Valentine’s Day, no one can argue the fact that it is a day to shower the people you love with symbols of your devotion.

We all know that Valentine’s Day is marked by the exchange of candy, flowers, gifts, jewelry and other gestures to celebrate our love for one another. Today this holiday is very much commercialized with stores full of heart-shaped gifts, candies of all types, Valentine-themed toys, clothing, perfume and collectibles.

Stores across the United States carry special Valentine’s Day greeting cards, and the United States Postal Service issues a special, one of a kind stamp every year to mark the special day. The sending and receiving of Valentine’s Day cards is very popular and a tradition that has been carried on for years and years in the USA.

No matter how couples in love choose to celebrate this special day dedicated to love, there is no doubt that Valentine’s Day pictures are an important way to remember this special day in February.

It is a day for sweethearts and sweet things, and the most popular day of the year to proclaim your love.
